I recently received the Best Vitamin C Serum For Face With 20% Vitamin C + Hyaluronic Acid For Women for free for an honest, unbiased review.
As I’ve become nearly elderly, I’ve tried to add products to my skin routine. One if those items is a serum of some sort. Serums are usually vitamin rich and/or has other ingredients to help your skin. Serums are used after cleansing but before moisturizers.
I recently started to use serums in my facial routine (last six months or so) because I wanted something more than just a cleanser and moisturizer. I noticed that my skins was looking dull and I was just feeling old! So, I was excited to try this product, especially because it contains Vitamin C, which I have found very helpful for my skin.
Ok, I’m sensitive to the smell of skin products because, quite frankly, it’s on my face! So what I’m not nuts about with this serum and this is just probably me, the serum smells like old coffee. So that’s a little weird.
It is a caramel color but quite light in texture coming out of the pump. I do like that there is a pump instead of a dropper or nothing at all. It’s so much easier to use and more convenient and I don’t feel like I’ll get too little or too much.
I do almost immediately feel a tightening of my skin when I apply the serum. But my skin is not dry – it feels great. But it does has that astringent feeling (without any type of burn) that my skin feels firmer and tighter. I’ve used the serum for about a month and I do think it is doing a good job of helping my skin retain moisture and diminishing fine lines, etc. I am going to continue to use it and hope it continues to help.
I would really love this except that the coffee smell is just a little off-putting for me. As I said, that just may be how my nose is and you may not feel that way at all. But the smell of something I put on my face is important to me.
